Rolling pre-forming

It is ideal for a low cost simple pre-shaping process. This process is beneficial because of the high-speed capabilities. It can also be integrated with the automated forging line.

The most attractive feature of this method is the lost investment that it requires. Here, the work pieces are required to move in two rolls which have a parallel movement. They are guided by two parallel contour blocks with matching profiles.

Press as pre-forming units

In this case, the simple pre-forming process is integrated right at the beginning of the operation. This process is advantageous because it reduced cooling down of the forging, cycle time, and production costs as well.

It is through this process that a multi-dimensional pre-forming process has become possible. It involves hydraulics or other variants of mechanical pushers.

The new controls system generation included features such as thickness measurement of the forging, auto regulation of the hydraulic hammer, and, it measures the CPK and CMK values during the forging process.
